EDEN - start//end [Music Video]

EDEN is, without a doubt, one of my major musical and artistic sources of inspiration.  The new song, start//end, and accompanying music video are nothing short of breathtaking.

I don't think people realize how crazy it is that EDEN produces, composes, writes, and performs all of his own material.  There are only a handful of people who do this and excel at it.

start//end excels in its ability to keep the listener engaged for the entirety of its six-minute duration.  I lose interest in most songs after a few moments.

Listen on my "Feel Something" Spotify playlist.

The 1975 - Robbers [Music Video]

"Robbers" by The 1975 is an old song, but a good way to start off one of the first few entries here.  This is the video that introduced me to The 1975, sending me down into a rabbit hole of deeper cuts like "Woman" and, more recently, "She Lays Down."

Yes, the video is rife with hopeless romanticism and near-stupid cliches, but something about its pairing with the music stirs me up.

Jessie Reyez - Gatekeeper [Short Film]

I had heard of Jessie Reyez through a couple of friends in the industry (the talented Kurtis pka London Future & the soulful Jhyve) and ended up stumbling upon her track "Gatekeeper."

The story behind the track is powerful, especially for someone in the music industry, and it depicts an all-too-prevalent misogyny.  Watch the 13-minute video below (NOT a music video; much more of a short film).
